Can’t strut, cause of my butt! Butt Pimples.
Pimples on the butt are also called Acne on the buttocks or folliculitis. It is common and secondary to sweating, bacteria and most importantly, friction.
Tight fitting clothing such as pantyhose, jeans, yoga leggings, workout tights, wet bathing suits, and even rough clothing such as wool commonly provoke this condition. Other causative nonabsorbent fabrics are the synthetics especially acrylic, polyester, rayon, and nylon.
Strenuous activity, in humid, hot weather also contributes particularly when no shower follows this activity.
Preventative measures include loose-fitting cotton underwear, cleansing with non-irritating, non-fragrance bar soap eg Vanicream Cleansing Bar for sensitive skin. Avoid liquid body washes.  Immediate towel dry the area after the shower or bath.
To bring the condition under control, wash the area with a Benzoyl Peroxide wash such as PanOxy 4% Acne Creamy Wash leaving it on the area for about one minute. If you are allergic to Benzoyl Peroxide consider a salicylic acid wash. After rinsing either of these washes off, oat the area dry and apply OreganKnow ointment. It is soothing, takes away inflammation and minimizes the bacterial contamination that contributes to the problem. Once the condition resolves, OreganKnow ointment applied after the shower not only prevents recurrence but will naturally lighten the brown discoloration or pigmentation that is sometimes seen after the butt acne resolves. Otherwise, this discoloration can last months without treatment.
Wash clothing with ALL Free Clear for sensitive skin liquid laundry detergent. Avoid fabric softener or dryer sheets.
If you have painful deeper cysts, apply a warm wash terry cloth to the area a few times per day. If pain persists, the cyst may have developed into an abscess you may need to see your dermatologist for drainage of pus and perhaps an oral antibiotic
